Each class performed their own special assembly for all classes in their school group. You can find a video of your child's assembly on your class webpage.
However, to have a short preview of all of our performances, click on the videos below. We also have a short video of the Hansfield Peace Proms Choir 2022.
Hope you sing along and enjoy!
Today, Hansfield Educate Together hosted the inaugural Dublin 15 Sports Blitz. We were joined by Tyrrellstown, Powerstown, Castleknock and Castaheany Educate Together Schools for a full day of basketball games. All schools were represented very ably by some excellent and skilled basketball players. Some very intense games ensued, followed by some close results on the score cards.
At the end of a long, hot day of games, Castaheany ETNS were victors in both the boys and the girls category! Congratulations to Castaheany!!🏀🏀
All schools should be very proud of themselves, displaying exemplary behaviour and talent in abundance! Thanks to all the players on the day.

6th Class held their bake sale on Friday, 10th of June 2022 to raise funds for their end of year graduation. This is a lovely 6th Class tradition which we have missed this past two years. It was the most delicious fare.... biscuits, cupcakes and cakes of all flavours! The 6th class children/parents baked so much and we had contributions from parents of other class as well. A big thank you to all for your support from the Class of 2022.
6th Class 2 has been taking part in the Incredible Edibles program this year. In recognition of this, the class was invited to the Bloom Festival in the Phoenix Park. While there, they visited the Agri-Aware stand and the Eat Well Organic Garden, learning about farming, organic produce and healthy eating.
¿Hablas español? Do you speak Spanish? Well our 5th and 6th Class pupils have started weekly Spanish lessons for six weeks from 04/05/2022 to 13/06/2022. We are delighted to welcome Imma, our wonderful Spanish teacher, to the school. She will take the children through their first steps at learning a new language. You may hear a few Spanish phrases at home..... Hola de 5ª y 6ª Clase!
In Alison's 6th Class we have been learning about different families. We talked a lot about LGBT+ identities and experiences and also about the different people we have in our families. We talked about how our families help us and that many of us view our friends as our chosen families. We created some small videos and put them together as a way to educate younger children about different families and LGBT+ experiences. This is our entry for the 'Different Families, Same Love' competition, we hope you enjoy it.
We had one of the best musical days ever here at Hansfield today. The Playground Orchestra (organised by Draíocht and funded by Fingal County Council) played two concerts at our school today. After the long hiatus due to Covid-19 how wonderful it was to have live orchestral music in the our school. We had a selection of music from the movies and TV, classical, traditional.... All classes attended a performance and the children tapped and clapped along. A huge thank you to the members of the Playground Orchestra. Have a look at our video - you will be amazed.
