What is the PTA?
Hansfield’s Parent/Teacher Association (PTA) is made up of a dedicated group of parents and teachers. All parents, or legal guardians, of students attending Hansfield ETNS are automatically members of the Association. The committee that represents these parents/guardians is elected at the Association’s Annual General Meeting each September and then meets monthly thereafter until June.

Interested in joining the PTA? Nominations will be accepted at the AGM in September.
If you prefer not to be a committee member, but would still like to get involved, don’t worry there’s room for you too! Contact us at [email protected] if you would like to sign up to our sub committee and help at events when you are free.
Meetings
All committee meetings are held on the first Monday of the month, in the School, at 8:40am.

The PTA's mission is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. To celebrate our diversity, create and work together on common goals. The PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child. We strive to make school a safe and fun space for all our students and families
Hansfield’s Parent/Teacher Association (PTA) is made up of a dedicated group of parents and teachers. All parents, or legal guardians, of students attending Hansfield ETNS are automatically members of the Association. The committee that represents these parents/guardians is elected at the Association’s Annual General Meeting each September and then meets monthly thereafter until June.
The aims of the Association are to:
- Provide a forum to represent the views of Parents to the Principal and the Board of Management, principally through monthly meetings during the school year
- Support the aims and objectives of the school.
- Encourage parent participation in school activities.
- Organise social events including Halloweek, Annual Winter Treat Selling, Movie Nights, International Food Day, Coffee Mornings and more.
- Arrange talks on topics of interest to parents through the National Parents Council (NPC).
- Engage with the Student Council on an ongoing basis.
