PLEASE NOTE AS A QUICK GUIDE:
- A pupil who tests positive for C-19 should self-isolate and must remain out of school for 7 full days from the date of onset of symptoms or, if asymptomatic, from the date of a positive PCR/Antigen test. On receipt of a positive result, no further testing is required. After 7 full days, once symptoms have fully resolved for the final 2 days (48 hours), the pupil may return to school.
- A pupil who is a close contact of a household member must remain out of school for 7 full days from the date of last contact with the positive case. Asymptomatic close contacts aged 4-12 years should perform three antigen tests. The first antigen test as soon as possible, the second antigen test three days later and the final antigen test on the seventh day of restricted movements.
