 Did you know we have a deposit return bin in Hansfield?
Our Student Council has been busy collecting bottles and cans from all classes to raise money for the school. Once the orange bin is full our PTA very kindly bring them to a local Deposit Return Scheme machine. To date we have raised ️ over €130 euros. Your support is greatly appreciated! 15/4/2026
anti-idling campaignOur Green School Committee recently took part in an anti-idling campaign to raise awareness among parents. The initiative encourages drivers to switch off their engines while waiting to collect their children. During the event, students handed out informative leaflets highlighting how unnecessary idling wastes fuel and contributes to air pollution around the school. By reducing engine idling, we can all help create a cleaner, healthier environment for our children. Please support this important cause by remembering to turn off your engine while waiting. Peace PROMS 2026 Our school choir, made up of students from 4th, 5th and 6th Class, had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Peace Proms in the RDS on Saturday, 7th February 2026. The choir performed to a live audience, including many proud parents, and sang alongside pupils from schools across the country. In total, approximately 2,000 children took part in the event. It was a truly memorable and inspiring experience for all involved. |
